Marlins lineup vs. Scott Olsen, Nats

Marlins lineup vs. Scott Olsen, Nats
Apr. 18, 2009 (Sun Sentinel delivered by Newstex ) --

Here's what the Marlins are throwing out this afternoon in their quest to beat Scott Olsen a second time this season and improve to 11-1:

Emilio Bonifacio 3B, Jeremy Hermida LF, Hanley Ramirez SS, Jorge Cantu 1B, Dan Uggla 2B, Ronny Paulino C, Cody Ross RF, Cameron Maybin CF, Josh Johnson SP

Hermida in the two-hole is only temporary with John Baker sitting this one out, but I've always thought he could excel there. Been really impressed with Herm so far, particularly the way he's taking pitches the other way and drawing walks. He's got as many walks (seven) as strikeouts.

Last night in the tenth inning was a great example of Herm not trying to do too much. With Saul Rivera on the mound, runners at the corners and two out, he shot an outside pitch into the hole at short and got the game-winning RBI with the infield single.

Would love to see Cameron Maybin have a breakout game. He could use one about now.

Not to put the cart before the horse, but if the Marlins sweep they'll have a 9.5 game lead on the Nats in the standings. I really hope Manny Acta isn't made the scapegoat. He's a good Baseball man and is deserving of a chance with a roster crafted by someone other than Jim Bowden.
