--SS Hanley Ramirez singled in the second inning Tuesday, giving him a nine-game hitting streak -- the last five are multi-hit games. Ramirez finished 2-for-3. He is fifth in the National League with a .357 average.
--3B Emilio Bonifacio is starting to hit again. He went 2-for-4 for his 10th multi-hit game of the year. --LHP Andrew Miller is on track to start for the Marlins on Saturday against the Dodgers after allowing one run in six innings Monday for Class AA Jacksonville.
Miller (strained right oblique) will throw a side session with Jacksonville and rejoin the Marlins when the team returns to South Florida following Thursday's game in Milwaukee.
MEDICAL WATCH:
LHP Andrew Miller (strained right oblique) went on the 15-day disabled list April 21. The injury is not believed to be serious. He played long-toss April 28, and he threw a bullpen session May 2. He made a rehab start for Class A Jupiter on May 6. He made a rehab start for Class AA Jacksonville on May 11, and he will be activated May 16.
RHP Anibal Sanchez (strained right shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list May 8. He will miss approximately two months.
RHP Rick VandenHurk (inflamed right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 28.
RHP Scott Proctor (sore right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 27, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on May 12. He had season-ending Tommy John surgery May 12.
