--2B Dan Uggla isn't too worried about his 0-for-21 skid, which has dropped his batting average to .196. He hit .255 in April 2008 before hitting .347 in May. He wound up in the All-Star Game. Uggla has a .336 career average in May compared with a .234 career average for April.
--RHP Josh Johnson will try to get back on track Friday when he faces the Phillies. Johnson's roll hit a bump in his last start: He gave up six runs in six innings to Washington. The Marlins are encouraged because Johnson settled down over his final four innings.
--C John Baker is showing so far that his 2008 season was no fluke. Baker is batting .308 (12-for-39) in his first 11 games. After getting called up last July, he hit .299 (59-for-197) in 61 games as a rookie.
