--RHP Matt Lindstrom pitched a one-two-three 11th inning Friday to notch his first career save.
--1B Mike Jacobs hit his 29th home run Friday with one out in the ninth inning, tying him with SS Hanley Ramirez and 2B Dan Uggla for the team lead. For Jacobs, 30 of his last 58 hits have been for extra bases.
--RHP Kevin Gregg on Friday underwent shock-wave therapy on his sore left knee in an effort to speed the healing process. The noninvasive procedure, done with an OssaTron, was performed in St. Louis by Dr. George Paletta, an orthopedic surgeon who is the Cardinals' medical director.
"They had to sedate me because it's supposed to be painful," Gregg said. "It was a high-intensity ultrasound. It allows increased blood flow to the tendons. We'll see if that calms it down and see how it reacts."
Marlins LHP Andrew Miller underwent the same treatment on his right knee tendinitis in July and returned to the Marlins earlier this week. Gregg hopes to throw off flat ground Saturday and throw off the mound in the bullpen on Sunday. He said he still hopes to pitch again before the season ends.

--There's a chance the Marlins may move their Class AAA team to Las Vegas, replacing the Dodgers' team. The Dodgers are trying to move their Pacific Coast League team to Albuquerque, where Florida's Class AAA team plays.
