--LF Luis Gonzalez, C John Baker and 2B Dan Uggla each doubled Thursday, but the Marlins failed to hit a home run for the first time in nine games.

--RF Jeremy Hermida went 0-for-2 with a walk Thursday, returning to the lineup after missing four consecutive starts. Hermida had gone 1-for-14 during the team's recent road trip before he was benched. He was 3-for-3 as a reserve over his last three appearances, including hits in each of the team's first two games in Atlanta. He's hitting .206 in August.

--1B Mike Jacobs is looking forward to this weekend's series against the Mets. He is hitting .323 (10-for-31) against the Mets this season.

--SS Hanley Ramirez needs one stolen base for his third straight season with at least 30.
