--RHP Anibal Sanchez was put on the 15-day disabled list Friday with a right shoulder sprain. He will be out two months, and the Marlins hope he can return to the rotation by the All Star break. The team hasn't decided who will plug his spot in the rotation, but the two likeliest candidates are RHP Burke Badenhop and RHP Hayden Penn.
Sanchez left his start Thursday after feeling pain on his 72nd and final pitch. The pain is not in the same part of his shoulder where he had surgery in June 2007. --2B Chris Coghlan got some friendly hazing after his first major league hit. When he pulled up at first base after a single in the fifth, he was trying to relax.
"I just remember Todd Helton saying, 'Hey, you're not going to say hello?' And I started laughing," said Coghlan, who singled again in the eighth inning. "So I made sure to say hello to him the next time I got on."

Rookie CF Cameron Maybin, who struck out three times Monday, was out of the lineup Tuesday. Alfredo Amezaga started in center field.
"It's a new league rule," Gonzalez said when asked why Amezaga was replacing Maybin. "On Cinco de Mayo, you've got to play all the Mexican and Mexican-American players you have on your team. We may even pitch (Ricky) Nolasco."
For the record, there were two players of Mexican descent in the starting lineup: Amezaga and 1B Jorge Cantu.
