--RHP Kevin Gregg allowed his first home run in 25 appearances this season, a shot to Endy Chavez that tied the game in the bottom of the ninth. Gregg suffered his second blown save in 12 chances.
--C Mike Rabelo homered Wednesday for the first time since April 11. It was his first start since Sunday. --Manager Fredi Gonzalez stacked a righty-dominated lineup Wednesday against Mets LHP Oliver Perez. Not in the starting lineup were lefty-hitting regulars Mike Jacobs, Luis Gonzalez and Jeremy Hermida.
Wes Helms started at first base. Jacque Jones, who bats left-handed, started in left field and hit second. Cody Ross started in right field.
--OF Cody Ross had an interesting streak come to an end Tuesday when he singled. Each of his previous five hits had been home runs. He homered twice Wednesday. Nine of his last 12 hits have been home runs.
--Manager Fredi Gonzalez said LF Josh Willingham could try to take batting practice this weekend in Philadelphia. Willingham is targeting a mid-June return but will play some minor league games first.
"It's going to take him a while to get back into playing shape," Gonzalez said.
