--LHP Andrew Miller will rejoin the Marlins sometime during the upcoming road trip, manager Fredi Gonzalez said. The trip begins Friday in Washington and continues Tuesday in New York. --With an 8-3 win over the Braves on Thursday, the Marlins improved to 2-0 since SS Hanley Ramirez and 2B Dan Uggla engaged in a shouting match before Wednesday's game because Uggla questioned Ramirez's willingness to play hurt. "Ever since we got everything in the open (Wednesday), we're fine," Uggla said before Thursday's game. --LF Chris Coghlan was named NL Rookie of the Month after setting a team record with 47 hits in 28 games in August. He hit .385 with 21 runs and 18 RBIs to become the first Marlins rookie to earn the honor since Anibal Sanchez in September 2006, the same month Sanchez tossed a no-hitter.
--RHP Leo Nunez suffered his fifth blown save in 22 chances Wednesday when he gave up a game-tying home run to Atlanta's Yunel Escobar on the first pitch of the ninth inning. Nunez had notched five consecutive saves since his last blown chance, Aug. 11 in Houston.
